A vending machine alone does not prove that a pack is genuine or factory sealed. Identify the seller, read the product description and keep a receipt. Packaging checks can raise concerns, but cannot certify authenticity.
Start with the seller, not the cabinet artwork
Find the operator name and purchase-support details before you pay. Ask how to obtain a receipt and what process applies if the item is not as described. Branding or a familiar character on a cabinet is not proof of a relationship with the Pokémon company.
KioskX resale stock must trace to an official-vendor receipt with seller details, date, line items, quantities and tax treatment. A catalog sheet is not that receipt. This is the stock acceptance requirement, not a public claim that every pack in every machine has been individually authenticated.
Sealed, resealed and repacked are different claims
Read whether the listing describes an original sealed product, loose cards or a seller-assembled assortment. If that distinction is unclear, ask before buying. Do not infer original manufacturer packaging from a product photo alone.
An apparently closed pack is not conclusive evidence of authenticity. If packaging appears damaged or altered, preserve it and photograph the condition before opening further. Do not use destructive checks as a guarantee, and do not treat a valuable or disappointing pull as proof either way.
Use the publisher’s counterfeit guidance
Pokémon Support acknowledges counterfeit cards and provides guidance for buyers concerned about authenticity. Consult the official support page linked below when evaluating a suspected counterfeit. That guidance is about the products; it does not certify a third-party vending operator.
If a purchase seems wrong
Keep the receipt, product listing and packaging. Contact the seller using the support details associated with the purchase and describe what differs from the listing. Avoid publishing payment details or personal information in a public complaint.
For a KioskX location search, use the Locator and city guide. Those pages currently explain coverage limits; they are not authenticity certificates or live stock guarantees. If you cannot identify the operator or understand what is being sold, resolve that uncertainty before paying.
