Hardware and site readiness before a Kiosk X installation

A handover worksheet for access, power, connectivity, product fit and the checks that turn a configured machine into an operable site.

Create a site record

Before committing to installation, prepare one record containing the venue, intended machine position, site contact, access hours and proposed configuration. Attach the final quoted machine specification when it becomes available. This guide organizes questions for the installer and Kiosk X team; it does not replace the manufacturer’s installation or safety instructions.

For Pro Max, the current public offer is a $6,000 USD base-price preorder with December 2026 estimated delivery. Confirm timing in the quote before booking contractors or promising an opening date. Other hardware formats and retrofits need their own compatibility and availability review.

Check the whole delivery path

Ask for the packaged and installed dimensions, handling requirements and any required clearances. Compare those with the unloading point, doors, lifts, corners and final position. Record who can authorize access and whether delivery is restricted to particular hours.

The final position should be assessed for the actual equipment and venue. Discuss accessibility, service access, customer circulation and any installation conditions with qualified site personnel. Do not infer that a cabinet is suitable outdoors, in wet areas or in a restricted corridor from a marketing image.

Confirm power and network requirements

Obtain the power specification for the quoted configuration and ask the venue to confirm an appropriate supply. Any electrical work belongs with qualified personnel following the equipment instructions and applicable requirements. This website does not prescribe a universal outlet, circuit or installation method for every kiosk.

For connectivity, record the available network, who manages it and how an outage will be diagnosed. Confirm the configured machine can reach its required services from the intended position. Agree who pays for and maintains connectivity. If a backup connection is proposed, test it as part of commissioning rather than assuming it will take over.

Match products and peripherals to the configuration

Prepare the intended product list, packaging dimensions and any handling or storage requirements. Ask the team to confirm physical fit and the supported fulfillment mechanism before purchasing initial stock. Do the same for optional payment terminals, printers, cameras and other peripherals.

For an existing machine, supply its manufacturer, model, controller and available interface documentation for a compatibility review. KioskOS connectivity does not by itself establish that every remote action or sensor is supported. List the required capabilities individually and distinguish confirmed integrations from work still to be scoped.

Agree the commissioning handover

A useful handover records the installed configuration, device identity, software access roles, network checks and the agreed test results. Include a supported customer journey, payment and fulfillment outcomes, operator visibility and recovery from an interrupted flow. Record outstanding issues and who owns each one.

The venue and operator should also agree replenishment access, cleaning, incident escalation and how customers obtain help. Store service documentation where authorized staff can find it, while keeping passwords and keys out of shared public records. Send site questions to support@kiosk-x.ai and ask for written confirmation of unresolved requirements before installation.
